This is the time of year when we want to change up our decor and embrace the coziness of home. While it's fun to throw out some pumpkin or turkey pillows this time of year, here are a few of our favorite fall pillows that are a little more subtle.

Pillows with words or phrases are a personal favorite of mine. It doesn't really matter what shape the pillow is, how big or small it is, or what color palette you're using--words on a pillow always grabs your attention. These type of pillows are often great conversation starters, as it's often a gift from someone or has special meaning to the person displaying it. Plus those positive messages always put a smile on your face!

Many of us like to embrace our inner designer with a pillow arrangement, but we're not all great at pairing the right colors. That's why I love the color block trend with multiple blocks of color in one pillow. If you're a minimalist, preferring just a single pillow or two, this is also a way to incorporate lots of color with just one pillow.  Of course the colors in this particular pillow just screams fall to me, with pumpkin, stone gray, and natural linen.

Need a little shimmer in your life?  This time of year just screams for bronzes, golds, and all sorts of shimmery earth tones. Textured pillow covers add depth to your pillow arrangement and draw people in to find comfort in your home. Of course if they feel really at home, they might want to cuddle up with a satiny-soft quilted pillow.
