Ultimate November Bucket List

Nov 2nd 2018

November BucketlistIn the blink of an eye, October came and went with all of its beautiful fall glory, and now with the arrival of November the festivities of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more are just around the corner!

Before we get lost in the hustle and bustle of the season, we wanted to take some time to share our bucket list of the month
. For November, a majority of our bucket list focus will be on serving others, which is exactly what we think this time of year should be about: being thankful for those around us and spreading joy wherever we go! Without further ado, check out our Ultimate November Bucket List:

1) Document Favorite Family Memories
For many, the month of November marks the beginning of family visits and extra time with loved ones, and it seems as if nostalgia is "extra rich" during this time of year. Why not use the time together to document memories from grandma, grandpa, aunts, and uncles? Have each share their favorite childhood holiday traditions and family memories, then write them down to treasure the stories for years to come. The value of saved memories is priceless and will be valued for generations to come!

2) Make Caramel Apples for your Neighbors
Still trying to figure out what to do with all the apples you picked while checking off your October Bucket List? Why not spoil your neighbors with some delicious homemade caramel apples? Not only are caramel apples a yummy treat, but they're also easy to make and are a sweet way (quite literally) for you to let your neighbors know you're thankful for them. Check out these recipe inspirations >>

3) Buy The Person Behind You Coffee
It's easy to get caught up in the hustle of your morning coffee order, especially when you're trying to get through the line and make it to work on time! Why not make someone else's day a little brighter by buying their coffee for them? Just let the drive through window know that you'd like to also pay for the order behind you... you just never know how you can turn someone's bad day around with the simple purchase of a coffee! Plus, with holiday drinks available now there's even more reason to spread some coffee-related joy!

4) Donate Groceries to a Local Soup Kitchen
Soup kitchens, food banks, and other charities often become extra busy with the onset of the colder months and the holiday season. With this influx of busyness, there's always a need for extra supplies. Check in with your local charities and see what supplies and grocery items could be the most beneficial to them during the month of November! Take a look at this list to see what local food banks need most often >>

5) Participate in a Turkey Trot
Running not your thing? No worries, there's typically a 1-mile fun run or walk to accompany your town's annual Turkey Trot race. These races generally take place Thanksgiving day or the weekend before and are fun, festive, healthy way to kick off America's favorite day of eating-related celebrations. Find one here >>

6) Write Thank You Letters to Veterans
November 11th is an important day for many, and it's an excellent time to take a moment to honor those who have fought for our freedom. Check out Operation Gratitude for a way to write letters to veterans and thank them for their service >>

7) Meal Prep Soups for Colder Days Ahead
Colder and darker days are coming whether we're ready or not, especially with daylight savings just around the corner! Make those chilly nights a bit cozier by prepping several soups to keep on hand for those nights where cooking just feels like a hassle. Check out these yummy soup recipes, spend an afternoon prepping, then pour into individual muffin tins to freeze pre-made, easy-to-reheat soup pods!

8) Rake Leaves for an Elderly Relative or Neighbor
Autumn leaves are stunning to look at but they can also become quite the annoyance when it come to raking and cleaning up. Although it may be a seemingly minimal task for you to complete on your own, the thought of thelabor that goes into all of that work can be overwhelming for some... especially the elderly! Why not lend yourself to an elderly relative or neighbor to help out? Even an hour spent raking for them can make all the difference in keeping their yard looking fresh and fall-ready. Before you start raking, check out these easy tips >>

9) Host a Friendsgiving (And Invite a Few Strangers!)
Friendsgiving has become a popular tradition for many circles over the years and is a nice excuse to get double the leftovers. Rather than sticking to your tight-knit group this year, try branching out and inviting a few new faces. These don't need to be complete and total strangers, perhaps someone who may just be looking for a little love and community this holiday season. Not sure what to do when hosting the ultimate Friendsgiving experience?
