Vacuum-Packed Pillow Inserts

Occasionally we hear, "My pillow insert looks like a floppy pancake!" or "My pillow insert isn't fluffy!" This is because we ship our pillows like this:

vacuum sealed pillow insert

Don't fret--this is not how your pillow form will look forever! After we make your pillow insert, we use a vacuum-sealing machine to take every bit of air out of the pillow, thus making an unbelievably flat vacuum-packed pillow insert. This means we can pack lots more pillows per box (which saves you on shipping). Of course, not all pillows will fit in our sealing machine. Large pillows (over 30 x 30), really bulky box pillows, and super long bolster pillows won't fit in the machine and will have to be hand-sealed.

Please note that we cannot guarantee all pillows arrive completely sealed.  Sometimes, there may be a pin-prick sized hole in the sealing plastic. If your shipping box isn't packed completely full, then air can slowly work into the seal and allow the pillow to start plumping up. This won't hurt anything and the pillow will finish plumping up as normal once you remove the rest of the plastic.  If you're planning to store lots of inserts (and need them vacuum-sealed), please make sure to order full cases (aka Cubes)--a full case generally won't have any room for an expanding pillow.

Once you receive your pillow inserts, simply break the seal on the plastic, and you will have a beautiful, full pillow. It only takes seconds to puff up, and will be completely full and ready for use within minutes.
